hah...me too. i wonder how much it would cost to put up on one billboard for a week. hmmm. now you've got me thinking, missy. also, thanks for stopping by and commenting on what i think is some of the most important stuff i've ever done. i'm currently an art student, but i'm actually dropping out of school after this semester so that i can quit with the trivial busywork and actually focus on making the art that i want to, so you should expect to see more good stuff, if you care to. anywayyyy, thanks again, friend.
I'm tired of the "Bush = Nazi" argument. Bush hasn't come close to Hitler's deathtoll (yet) and I've found that whenever you use this argument on a member of the far right (even if you site sources and evidence) they automatically assume that you (not you personally) are a moron. Still, he's done some unspeakably hideous things and I as an american cannot BELIEVE that 'the people' chose him for another term. Regardless of the content, a really provocative piece, well done. I like the repetition of the shapes and diagonals, and the typography is emphatic without being contrived or too loud.
haha...thank you. in a semi-related issue, i've been doing a lot of studying up on the c.i.a. and it's involvement in cocaine and herion sale in the USA. you'd be surprised what is actually happening behind the public eye concerning 'illegal' substances. anyway, thanks for the comment.
hey - thanks for the comment, it's much appreciated. most people don't agree with my message, but the connet does exist: hitler lied to his own people (and the world) in order to fulfill his personal goals, and bush is doing the same thing. i'm not saying that bush is as bad as hitler (yet), but i knew that using hitler would shock people and spark a thought. anyway, thanks again.
Although I don't agree fully with the art (that is, blaming President Bush and the oil fields, although I do agree a bit with the "Wake up" message), this is a gorgeous peice of work. VERY strongly made, truly excellent colour and form.
thanks a lot for the comments....you rawk. anyway, i did bush in flash and then imported him into photoshop and did the rest there, but you could have very easily done the whole thing in photoshop. and if you want to learn how to use vectors (this is in response to another one of your comments), i could teach you some of the basics - assuming you have illustrator or photoshop. anyway, thanks again for the comments, and keep up the good work.
That's an amazing piece of work! Very striking. I'd like to put this up in my bedroom, but would it possible for you to do a version without the words? I just feel that the image is so strong that it doesn't need any explanation or reinforcement. Once again well done!
That is so... creepy. Have you seen "Farenheit 9/11"? It's incredibly one-sided, not that it's an issue with me or anything. Micheal Moore portrays Bush as a real war-monger... I'm so glad I don't live in America.
Anyways, great image; lots of ironc symbolism here.
yes, i've seen farenheit 9/11. and yes, it's incredibly one-sided. michael moore uses a lot of shock value and questionable facts in his movies, but i think he only does that to get people's attention. it was a decent movie and i think it showed a fraction of what's really going on in the oval office. i've done lots and lots of research on it, and you wouldn't believe what's going on. and i mean that...you wouldn't believe me at all - you'd think i lost my marbles, but it's true. if you really want to know, i guess you could IM me. anyway, thanks for the comment, and keep up the good work on your page.
yeah, it's quite worrying. but what i find more worrying is that our country doesn't even realize it. most people just blindly follow/support bush, no matter what he does, which sends a chill down my spine. anyway, thanks for the comment!
