this is the king of all cosmos, from the video games 'katamari damacy' and 'we love katamari.' and yes, you're probably noticing that it might be a bit obsessive to be spending hours drawing a portrait of a videogame character, but he's just that cool. go ahead, buy the game and you'll see.

in other news, this is the first deviation i've made using a wacom tablet. it's going to take somme getting used to, but i'm loving it. buy one.

EDIT// just uploaded the latest version. it still looks a bit too 2-D, so i'll go back and add more shading later, and i'm still strapped for ideas for the background, but i just got done painting that ubercomplex design on his ..head/helmet/mallet thing and i need a break! thanks for all the comments and feel free to point out things that you think i need to change. peace out.
